A journey to discover the wonders of the sea with 3000 square meters of exhibition space with a space dedicated to tanks and one on the first floor dedicated to insects, amphibians and reptiles that houses a real reptile house.
During the visit, you will admire a touch tank, two tanks dedicated to jellyfish and the important issue of plastic pollution; and also a tactile tank, a tank dedicated to Kelp and one to octopus. The visit to the ground floor ends with the wreck tank, with a reproduction of a Roman shipwreck.
On the first floor, the visit continues with a space dedicated to insects, amphibians and reptiles that houses a real anthill with leaf-cutter ants; Here you can admire the iguana, the chameleon, the arrow frog, the stick insect, the horned frog and many other specimens.
From the first floor, it is possible to access the Panoramic Terrace from which to admire the beauty of the Livorno coast and the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.
The Aquarium of Livorno, which has received the recognition of Scientific Institute, is a Center for the Recovery and Rehabilitation of sea turtles and is an Information Point of the Tuscan Observatory for Biodiversity.
